Job Summary
Provide patient care in a 26-bed Emergency Department using the nursing process while maintaining professional accountability. Coordinate care with other departments and evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by direct care givers. Uphold patient rights and confidentiality of information consistent with Mercy Service Standards. Work the 6:30pm to 7:00am shift in a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio supported by patient care techs and paramedics. Requires current RN license, ACLS, and BLS certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license (or compact license)
- Ability to push/pull/lift 50 lbs regularly
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS (or within 30 days), plus unit-specific certifications
