Job Summary
Oversees the delivery of quality patient care in the medical-surgical unit and emergency department. Responsibilities include maintaining departmental policies, directing nursing staff, assessing and evaluating patient care, mentoring new staff, ensuring communication with medical personnel, maintaining patient confidentiality and rights, and participating in continuous quality improvement. Requires an Associate Degree in Nursing, an active RN license in Idaho, and specific certifications within set timeframes. Job includes extensive walking and potential exposure to blood and body fluids.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Idaho
- CPR certification
- Current BLS, ACLS and PALS
- NRP and STABLE
- TNCC certification
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- One year in the practice of nursing
