Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned Emergency Department patients while maintaining professional accountability. Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments and evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information consistent with Mercy Service Standards. Complete required certifications, including Basic Life Support, within 30 days of hire. Work 36 hours per week on the night shift.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
