Job Summary

Provide nursing care to patients following the Scope and Standards of Nursing Practice and the Nursing Process to make nursing judgments, including delegation of work. Ensure practice meets compliance with all applicable State and Federal laws, regulations, and policies governing the provision of health care. This is a night shift position, 7:00 pm - 7:00 am. Maintain an active Vermont Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing and complete required training such as Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Trauma Nursing Core Course.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing
  • Active Vermont Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing or compact state RN license in good standing
  • Six (6) months of nursing experience is desirable for specialty areas
  • Nursing Care Knowledge through the lifespan
  • Effective people skills and communication
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft office products
  • Proficiency in the use of technology in care delivery
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
  • Basic dysrhythmia
  • De-escalation training (required completion at first course offering after hire)
  • Emergency Severity Index (ESI) Course (within one year of hire)
  • Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) (preferred)
  • Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) (preferred)
  • This is a night shift position, 7:00 pm - 7:00 am
