Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients in a 39-bed emergency department, utilizing the nursing process to address individual needs and family concerns. Assign tasks to LPNs and support staff based on patient acuity and skill levels, while delegating lunches and duties for charge roles. Participate in interdisciplinary teams to evaluate clinical care, promote patient safety initiatives, and contribute to department-specific quality projects. Maintain a safe environment by analyzing health status data, documenting interventions, and communicating changes to physicians. Accept assignments across areas other than the primary unit, continuously evaluate patient satisfaction, and engage in lifelong learning to maintain clinical skills.
