Job Summary
Provide nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing facility, including assessments, care planning, and execution of physician orders. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing medical records and nurse's notes, monitoring resident status, coordinating admissions/transfers/discharges, transcribing orders, and communicating with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members. Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, HIPAA privacy, and disaster protocols; participate in in-service training and orientation; support development of individualized care plans; require RN/LVN licensure, CPR certification, and ongoing continuing education. Strong communication skills and supervisory experience preferred. Location: Granbury, Texas; schedule includes weekends and rotating 2-10pm/10-6pm shifts. At-will employment.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) (LVN) in good standing and currently licensed by the State
- CPR Certified
- Experience as a Charge Nurse or supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to convey, explain, or interpret complex specialized information related to long-term care rules and regulations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to complete continuing education hours as required by the State
