Job Summary
Director of Nursing for Surgical Services oversees nursing practice across hospital units and supports the Chief Nursing Officer, ensuring high-quality, safe patient care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management. Leads multi-unit nursing practice assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation with 24/7 responsibility for assigned areas. Requires an active RN license in MA, with education including an associate degree plus a health-care related bachelor's degree or a BSN; 2+ years of progressive hospital management experience and 3+ years OR experience; CPR certification. MSN or master’s in a health care field preferred. Location is Framingham, MA.
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in state of practice (MA)
- Education: Associate degree in nursing with bachelor's degree in health care field or BSN
- 2 years of progressive management experience in a hospital environment as a manager or director-level
- 3+ years of experience working in the OR at a hospital
- CPR certification
