Job Summary
Complete initial assessments for home care clients and create individualized care plans. Oversee nursing staff by conducting supervision, coaching, and discipline while managing hiring, evaluation, and scheduling. Fulfill staffing needs, maintain resident charts, monitor medication administration, and ensure client rights are protected. Communicate with healthcare providers, county personnel, and families regarding health status. Take fiscal responsibility for nursing budgets and provide health and medication training to personnel to ensure regulatory compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Must hold and maintain a current license to practice as Registered Nurse (RN) in Minnesota
- Must be able to communicate effectively with clients, family members and staff while promoting a positive atmosphere in the nursing department
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in assisted living or home care preferred
- Experience supervising staff preferred
- Strong leadership skills
