Job Summary
Conduct thorough patient assessments, administer medications, and monitor vital signs for dialysis patients before, during, and after treatment. Operate and maintain dialysis machines while adjusting treatment parameters as needed. Collaborate with physicians and the care team to implement individualized care plans, respond to medical emergencies, and advocate for patient rights. Provide education on kidney disease, treatment plans, and post-discharge care to patients and families. Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and National Patient Safety Goals while documenting all care accurately.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
Desired Qualifications
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation
