Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate direct patient care for head, neck, and spine injury patients across all age groups. Coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize comfort while functioning as a hybrid teacher and floor nurse when students are absent. Maintain current RN licensure and complete required certifications such as ACLS, NRP, or BLS within departmental timeframes. This full-time rotational role (0630 to 1900) at Mercy Hospital Springfield offers tuition reimbursement up to $2,000 and relocation assistance of up to $3,000 for full-time hires.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a school of nursing (associate's degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
