RN - DAY

Med. Surg. Nurse is responsible for promoting and maintaining quality patient care through effective management of the activities of total patient care services during the assigned shift. The RN serves as charge nurse in the absence of the Unit Nurse Manager/CNO, with authority for administrative decisions and notification to the Administrator-on-Call. Responsibilities include coordinating care, supervising staff, ensuring patient safety, administering medications and treatments per physician orders, updating care plans, participating in in-service education, and communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff. Requires an accredited nursing degree, current state licensure, and certifications (BLS, ACLS/PALS). Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical leadership skills are essential, along with ability to manage staffing needs, educate teams, and uphold hospital policies and procedures.
