Job Summary
Evaluates, plans, implements, and documents nursing care for the operating room patient population while assisting physicians during procedures. Functions as both scrub and circulating nurse, performing a wide variety of tasks with a high degree of creativity and latitude. Typically reports to a manager or head of unit and performs other related duties as assigned. Requires BLS and ACLS certification, with CNOR preferred. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
Required Qualifications
- BSN
- Graduate of a nationally accredited Nursing program
- Licensed RN
- Minimum 3 years' patient-facing RN experience at time of hire
- ADN or diploma
- State of Idaho Registered Nurse OR licensure pending as documented by temporary licensure OR current RN licensure from a state participating in the 'multistate privilege to practice' compact with Idaho prior to start date
- BLS
- Current AHA Healthcare provider, American Red Cross, AHA Health Saver or KH BLS during General Orientation
- ACLS
- Must be able to lift and move up to 35lbs
- Must be able to maintain a standing and/or sitting position
- Must be able to stoop, crouch, or bend
- Must be able to pull, push, or transport heavy equipment
- Must be able to assist in patient transport
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned
Desired Qualifications
- CNOR certification
- BSN or higher (for non-BSN RN's with less than 3 years' patient-facing RN experience)
- Completion of a baccalaureate (or higher) degree program in nursing within 3 years of hire (for non-BSN RN's with less than 3 years' patient-facing RN experience)
