Job Summary
Assess patients using evidence-based tools, provide nursing care per the plan, and monitor ongoing treatments while identifying condition changes to report to providers. Document patient progress and medical records accurately, evaluate outcomes in collaboration with the health care team, and delegate to student nurses, nursing assistants, and licensed practical nurses. Float among various clinical services as qualified and competent. This role supports the Unit Manager and Director of Nursing within Washington Regional Medical System's #1 ranked hospital in Arkansas, contributing to patient safety, quality of care, and budgetary goals.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Arkansas RN license
- CPR certification
- ACLS certification (within 90 days)
- Ability to spend 80% of time walking and/or standing while pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or carrying up to 50 lbs
- Ability to spend 20% of time sitting while performing work in a standard office environment
- Exposure to communicable diseases, bodily fluids, and radiation
- Service in a cultural and linguistically diverse patient population
