Job Summary
RN provides professional nursing care including assessments, care plan implementation and evaluation, and coordination with other disciplines for pediatric through geriatric patients in a hospital setting. Responsibilities include admission assessments, ongoing patient reassessment, medication administration and IV therapy, documentation in computerized systems, effective communication with patients, families and healthcare teams, and adherence to infection control policies. The role may involve OR/OB circulator duties and precepting/orienting new staff, with shift schedules consisting of 8–12 hour shifts and rotating weekends/holidays for PRN/Casual staffing.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of RN program from an accredited school of Nursing
- Current MT Licensure/Current NLC that includes MT RN Licensure
- Current BLS required
- ACLS within 12 months of hire
- PALS within 24 months of hire
- TNCC and/or ENCP and STABLE within 30 months of hire
- One or more years of acute or critical care experience preferred
Desired Qualifications
- BSN preferred
- ACLS within 12 months of hire
- PALS within 24 months of hire
- TNCC and/or ENCP and STABLE within 30 months of hire
- Current MT Licensure/Current NLC that includes MT RN Licensure
- Current BLS required
- One or more years of acute or critical care experience preferred
