Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols using the nursing process to develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans. Establish effective relationships with patients, families, and the interprofessional team to facilitate unique care plans and collaborative decision-making. Educate patients and families on measures to promote, maintain, and restore health while fostering a healthy work environment by serving as a mentor and role model. Apply evidence-based practice and scientific knowledge to medical-surgical nursing, ensuring care aligns with age-specific and clinical needs within the department's Scope of Service. Perform point-of-care testing as assigned and maintain constant alertness and safety. Work night shifts with 36 scheduled weekly hours.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing
- One year registered nurse experience (Ministry Float) or two years' registered nurse experience (Regional Float)
