Job Summary
Provide professional nursing care in the CCU, performing diagnostic tests and administering medications. Develop patient care plans in collaboration with the Critical Care Team, assist during examinations and procedures, and operate/monitor medical equipment. Observe and document patient progress in the medical record, communicate with attending physicians as needed, and ensure safety. Deliver emotional and psychosocial support to patients and families, collaborate with the care team to optimize outcomes, and respond to life-saving events following nursing standards and protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois IDFPR
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year - American Heart Association
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association
- HS Diploma/GED
