Job Summary
Effectively use the Nursing Process to deliver patient care, assess learning needs, and implement teaching strategies for diverse patient populations. Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources while serving as a leader on the Interdisciplinary Team. Utilize data to evaluate and promote change for optimal outcomes, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws and accreditation standards. Maintain knowledge of current regulatory requirements and report any unethical behaviors or patient safety concerns immediately.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree
- Current State of Louisiana RN License
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Good organizational skills
- Good time management skills and self directed
- Demonstrates Good Judgement
- Good interpersonal skills
- Must be able to lift 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally
- Must be able to lift 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently
- Must be able to lift 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Certification in clinical specialty area
