Job Summary

Deliver critical care patient assessments, implement teaching strategies for diverse patient and family needs, and manage nursing team resources as a leader on the interdisciplinary team. Utilize data to evaluate outcomes and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws while maintaining sensitivity to cultural and religious diversity. Maintain proficiency with data entry systems and Windows-style applications to retrieve patient information effectively. This role requires a current RN license and BLS certification, with no specific work experience mandated. Applicants must reside in Louisiana, as remote work is restricted to specific states including Colorado, California, and New York. Required Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse Diploma
  • Current RN License in the state of practice
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
  • Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of patient information
  • Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
  • Heavy Work - Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly
  • Duties performed routinely require exposure to blood, body fluid and tissue
  • Occupational risk for exposure to all communicable diseases
  • Occupational risk for exposure to hazardous medications or hazardous waste

Desired Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • Certification in clinical specialty area
