Job Summary
Provide top-of-scope direct patient care in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) settings utilizing the nursing process. Support a multidisciplinary team to achieve exceptional outcomes while prioritizing patient wellness and evidence-based practice. Model proficiency by precepting new healthcare staff in a fast-paced clinical environment. Contribute to secure safety and quality at the point of care within a technically complex environment. Work nights with a 48-hour pay period schedule. Requires 6 months of ICU or PCU experience, state RN licensure, ACLS certification, and current BLS/CPR.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Healthcare Provider certification
- Any relevant certification as determined at position level
- 6 months of ICU or PCU (Progressive Care Unit) nursing (RN) experience or completion of the UCHealth Fellowship program
- BLS - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
- This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option
