Job Summary

Provide nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care while maintaining organizational standards of practice. Coordinate patient care activities for all assigned staff and function within designated assignments at Piedmont hospitals across Georgia to fill critical or urgent staffing needs. Maintain required certifications including BLS and ACLS, and adhere to ethical and diversity-inclusion principles while collaborating with stakeholders. This role offers flexibility with 36-hour work weeks and assignments ranging from 12 to 13 weeks, including weekends and holidays. Competitive base pay with differentials and overtime eligibility is available, alongside options for 401k and Piedmont benefits.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of a nursing program
  • Minimum of two years of work experience in performing professional nursing duties within area(s) of specialty
  • Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
  • BLS certification
  • Critical Care: ACLS
  • Maintain any and all competencies and certifications required for area(s) of specialty as determined by the Clinical Operations division
  • Collects pertinent data and information relative to the healthcare consumer's health or the situation
  • Analyzes the assessment data to determine actual or potential diagnoses, problems, and issues
  • Identifies expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the healthcare consumer or the situation
  • Develops a plan that prescribes strategies to attain expected, measurable outcomes
  • Implements the identified plan of care
  • Coordinates care delivery
  • Employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment
  • Evaluates progress toward attainment of goals and outcomes
  • Practices ethically
  • Practices in a manner that is congruent with current diversity and inclusion principles
  • Communicates effectively in all areas of practice
  • Collaborates with healthcare consumer and other key stakeholders in the conduct of nursing practice
