Job Summary
Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for patients across the continuum, from preventative health maintenance to diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up. Collaborate with physicians and inter-professional colleagues to coordinate care and manage triage and patient education. Practice within the full scope of nursing expertise, adhering to the Nurse Practice Act and state licensure standards. This role involves assignment to units based on clinical expertise and organizational needs, with scheduled hours varying dependent on patient demand. This may include overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications, for example but not limited to: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) as determined by assignment
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate from a National League of Nursing (NLN) or American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) accredited nursing program
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing
- A minimum of one year of nursing experience
