Job Summary
RN - Critical Care Cardiovascular in Duluth, MN. Provides holistic nursing care in the Cardiovascular Surgical/Medical Critical Care units with 0.75 FTE on a 12-hour day/night rotation and weekend schedule. Delivers autonomous, evidence-based nursing care, collaborates with a multidisciplinary team, develops and evaluates individualized care plans, and ensures compliance with Joint Commission and regulatory standards. Requires BSN or ADN, active RN licensure in applicable state(s), and BCLS; ACLS within one year. Preferred 6+ months of acute care cardiac experience (or 9 months med/surg with capstone/internship in SMMC Critical Care).
Required Qualifications
- BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing
- Current nursing licensure in state(s) of employment
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or ability to become certified within 1 month from date of hire
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within one year
- Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Currently employed RN with minimum 6 months acute care cardiac experience in a RN position, or 9 months med/surg RN experience with completion of a capstone or internship in SMMC Critical care department
