RN Corrections Registered Nurse (PRN Pool)

RN Corrections Registered Nurse (PRN Pool) at a facility housing Immigration and Customs Enforcement detainees in Florence, Arizona. Provides ambulatory, emergency, mental health, and infirmary care in a collaborative health services environment. RESPONSIBILITIES include direct patient care, prescreening and intake screening, sick calls, administering medications (oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular, intravenous, topical, ophthalmic, and other routes), conducting physical examinations, nurse supervision of LPNs/unlicensed personnel, collecting specimens, performing point-of-care testing, responding to medical emergencies, and referring patients to NP/PA or physicians as needed. Orientation/training consists of 2 weeks Mon-Fri and 2-3 days per week thereafter until trained. QUALIFICATIONS specify AZ RN license (or compact state), minimum one year RN experience, preferred detention/residential healthcare experience, ACEN/CCNE-accredited nursing program, and foreign graduates must have current unrestricted registration.
