RN Coordinator Trauma Womens Weekend Days supports the trauma program with a focus on women’s health during weekend day shifts. Responsibilities include triaging and assessing trauma patients, implementing and evaluating individualized care plans, administering medications and treatments, and ensuring interventions align with trauma protocols and women’s health best practices. The role coordinates patient flow from admission through discharge or transfer, supports trauma activations, and ensures timely communication among physicians, surgeons, emergency and critical care teams, social workers, and ancillary staff. In addition to direct patient care, the nurse coordinates trauma and women’s services on weekends, supports quality improvement, data collection, documentation and reporting related to trauma cases, and adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards. The position involves staff education around trauma and women’s health, championing patient safety and infection prevention, and assisting in developing and updating unit policies and procedures. The RN serves as a clinical resource and coordinator, providing compassionate patient-centered care, advocating for patients and families, exercising critical thinking during rapidly changing conditions, and ensuring effective handoffs.
