Job Summary
RN Coordinator role (Nonexempt) leads and coordinates the unit's daily operations during designated shift, ensuring safe patient care and meeting staff needs. Responsibilities include directing shift activities, approving admissions/cases, ensuring appropriate staff skill mix, participating in interviewing and selection, providing performance feedback, conducting documentation and outcomes audits, resolving patient issues, acting as a liaison to the multidisciplinary care team, monitoring supply usage and costs, maintaining regulatory compliance, delegating tasks to RN and non-RN staff, and pursuing ongoing professional development. Requires RN licensure, ADN/associates degree (BSN preferred), BLS, 1+ clinical RN experience, and strong organizational, communication, and patient-experience focus.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) or equivalent
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- BLS Certification
- 1+ clinical RN experience
- Knowledge of EHR/Computer skills (basic)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to lead, supervise, and coordinate unit operations
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
