Job Summary
RN (Contract or Per-Diem) providing age-appropriate nursing care using the nursing process. Responsibilities include nursing assessment of physiologic and psychosocial health, planning and implementing patient care, coordinating with physicians and care team, administering medications and treatments, documenting care, and participating in discharge planning. Requires graduate of an accredited nursing program, NY/CT RN license, BLS, and 1-2 years of professional nursing experience in the related specialty; role involves leadership in coordinating care and directing activities of care-unit staff.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing, required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, preferred
- Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State and/or Connecticut, required
- BLS required, plus specialized certifications as needed
