Job Summary
Coordinate unit staffing and provide leadership for specialty areas such as Cardiovascular/Cath Lab, Surgical Services, Emergency/Triage, Endoscopy, Adult/Pediatric/NeoNatal Critical Care, or Labor & Delivery/Women & Family. Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support associates during shifts while exercising independent judgment to plan services and patient care. Assess daily patient needs to distribute assignments, maintain productivity standards, and justify variances to unit managers. Respond to patient care complaints, set operational priorities, and facilitate material availability. Provide input into staff hiring, training, directing, development, and evaluation. Requires 3-5 years of critical experience, Illinois RN licensure, and BLS certification. Night shift full-time role at Ascension Alexian Brothers in Elk Grove Village, IL.
