Job Summary

Develop and coach Medical Assistant teams and leads on workflows, protocols, and team building while collaborating with Clinic Managers and system resources. Create orientation and training materials for MAs, act as a Subject Matter Expert for the MA Scope of Practice, and make quality improvement recommendations by observing and redesigning processes. Execute pharmacy guidelines including vaccine administration, controlled substances, and CLIA proficiency, then identify and standardize necessary MA protocols. Participate in clinic QI meetings to support MA-driven measures, guide lead MAs through the interview process, and advocate for clinical support roles within primary care patient-centered care. Requires a Registered Nurse license, ASN degree, and BLS-HCP certification. Located in Broomfield, Colorado, this full-time role involves on-site attendance during business hours with potential night and weekend shifts.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
  • ASN
  • Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice
  • Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP) course completion card from the American Heart Association
  • Two years of experience working as a Registered Nurse
  • An ability to be flexible and adaptable in day to day job duties as the primary care RN role evolves
  • An interest in self-motivation and self-learning
  • Proficient in advocating for MA and RN clinical support roles as they pertain to primary care patient centered care
  • Strong understanding of the value of RN role on an integrated primary care team
  • Ability to interact frequently with Clinic Manager, Practice Administrators, Executive Director of Operations and RN Manager
  • Regular attendance to perform work on site during regularly scheduled business hours or scheduled shifts
  • Ability to work nights and/or weekends

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's of Nursing
  • 3+ years of clinical nursing experience
  • Primary care nursing &/or Specialty care experience
  • 1+ years of leadership/management including process improvement and change management experience
