RN Clinical Supervisor - Wilmington Clinic

Job Summary
Supervise day-to-day operations of MLKCH outpatient clinics and ambulatory services, managing one or more specialty disciplines and clinic sites during an 8-hour shift. Ensure staff deliver high-quality, cost-effective care complying with hospital standards, local, state, and federal requirements. Implement clinical practice and quality management standards, monitor budgets, and evaluate processes to improve systems and patient care results. Collaborate with physicians and departments to resolve patient care issues, develop policies, and manage equipment, supplies, and medications. Select, hire, train, and supervise non-provider staff while resolving administrative, clinical, and human resource problems. Serve as a liaison between the site and external agencies, maintain strict confidentiality, and participate in leadership meetings to develop strategic plans. Procure supplies at competitive prices and ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in nursing
- Current California RN license
- Current Basic Life Support for Providers, by American Heart Association (AHA)
- Advanced Life Support certification (ACLS), by American Heart Association (AHA)
- Registered Nurse with at least 2yrs of clinical experience in a hospital, clinic, home care, nursing home setting or health facility within the last 5yrs
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory or management experience in a health care setting
- Bi-lingual in Spanish and English
- Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, electronic medical records and ability to learn new applications easily
- Demonstrates ability to supervise and direct administrative personnel
- Must be able to relate well to patients, clinicians, employees, and other professionals
- Must be able to handle confidential issues with discretion
- Must be able to understand the goals of the practice and work to obtain these goals independently as well as in collaboration with clinician partners
- Must have working knowledge of managed care and other current health insurance arrangements
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college and/or a professional certification requiring formal education
