Job Summary
Lead and support competent co-workers in delivering exceptional patient care while ensuring appropriate staffing levels and collaborating on patient flow and bed management. Use resources efficiently to meet productivity and financial goals, and partner with clinical leadership and physicians to enhance workflows across the continuum of care. Mentor staff to become leaders of change, hold caregivers accountable for professional responsibilities and regulatory standards, and participate in performance evaluations. Model Mercy's mission and values in all interactions. Full-time, 36 hours/week, Monday–Thursday nights (10 PM–7 AM).
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following: Associate Degree in Nursing, Nursing Diploma, or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations
- 3-5 years of hospital nursing experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
