Job Summary
Lead and support competent co-workers in delivering exceptional patient care while ensuring appropriate staffing levels and collaborating with the Staffing Office on patient flow and bed management. Use resources efficiently to meet productivity and financial goals and partner with clinical leadership, physicians, and administrative teams to enhance workflows and improve processes across the continuum of care. Mentor, guide, and empower co-workers to become leaders of change, hold caregivers accountable for professional responsibilities and regulatory standards, and participate in performance evaluations in collaboration with the Clinical Manager. Demonstrate Mercy's Mission, Values, and Service Standards in all interactions.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an Associate Degree in Nursing
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Nursing Diploma
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or compact licensure
- 3-5 years of hospital nursing experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
