RN Clinical Supervisor - Hospital Operations, Allegheny General

Job Summary
Oversee, monitor, and collect data related to facility and department quality and satisfaction measures while serving as the clinical expert and role model for staff. Monitor and mentor staff performance, ensure appropriate staffing levels and mix to optimize routine operations, and utilize the nursing process to coordinate patient care plans for the age-appropriate population. Prioritize patient placement across the hospital based on clinical need in accordance with capacity and orders, providing clinical direction and supervision of the Discharge Lounge. Direct and provide professional nursing care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation while coordinating daily clinical and operational components of the unit. Work 80 hours every two weeks, Monday through Friday, 8am to 8pm.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree Nursing or relevant experience and/or education as determined by the company in lieu of Bachelor's Degree
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
- CPR – American Heart Association
- Current State of PA RN licensure OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)
- 3 years' experience in clinical specialty
- Previous supervisory experience
- Certification in area of specialty
- Adherence to applicable federal and state laws, rules, and regulations as well as company policies and training requirements
- Compliance with the Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA)
- Adherence to the company's Code of Business Conduct
- Access to covered information, cardholder data, or other confidential customer information that must be protected at all times
