Job Summary
RN Clinical Reviewer Proofer responsible for the full spectrum of Utilization or Quality reviews, supporting Medical Review Analysts and Physician Consultants to ensure accurate processes. Conduct utilization reviews up to the appeal level, perform quality and clinical data collection reviews, assist in training and staff huddles, and contribute to collaborative clinical study objectives. Position located in Jericho, NY; full-time, Temp-to-Hire, $45/hour.
Required Qualifications
- Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or graduate of an approved RN training program and licensed to practice in New York
- Active NY State RN license
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience (medicine/surgery or special care units) and/or 1-3 years acute care utilization review experience
- Experience with electronic medical records, coding, quality, and clinical charting
- Strong written and verbal skills; ability to work independently
- Ability to oversee, problem solve, and train staff
- Ability to participate in training and huddles
