Develop and implement clinical education programs to enhance the competencies of nurses and other clinicians. Create, revise, and evaluate educational materials, curricula, and instructional methodologies based on evidence-based practices. Facilitate orientation, onboarding, and training programs for new hires, including nurses and clinical staff. Conduct workshops, in-service sessions, and continuing education programs to support staff development and regulatory compliance. Design processes to assess, validate, and document clinical competencies for nursing and clinical staff. Collaborate with unit leaders and preceptors to ensure competency-based performance appraisals align with organizational and regulatory standards. Monitor and evaluate clinical staff performance and competency attainment through observation, simulation, and outcome-based metrics. Maintain a thorough understanding of state and federal regulations, including Joint Commission standards, to ensure compliance in all clinical education programs. Serve as a subject matter expert on clinical practices, providing guidance on regulatory updates, clinical policies, and procedures. Lead initiatives to integrate evidence-based practices into clinical workflows and education programs. Collaborate with clinical managers and leaders to identify knowledge gaps and training needs, aligning educational initiatives with strategic goals. Serve as a mentor and resource for clinical staff, fostering a supportive learning environment. Exercise discretion and independent judgment in tailoring educational interventions to address complex clinical challenges and organizational priorities. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, policy development, and strategic planning to enhance patient care outcomes and staff development.
