Job Summary
RN Clinical Nurse Practice Specialist (CNPS) for OB services (Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Antepartum) providing expert clinical nursing practice, education, and leadership. Responsible for applying advanced assessment skills and evidence-based practices to improve patient care, mentor nursing staff, identify educational needs, lead quality initiatives, and participate in policy development and clinical change at the unit level. Requires a Master’s in Nursing (Doctorate preferred), 5+ years of clinical experience, IL RN license, BLS, and Neonatal Resuscitation certification; travel to other Endeavor Health hospitals for meetings is required.
Required Qualifications
- Masters Degree Nursing Required
- Doctorate Nursing Preferred
- 5+ Years Clinical experience in a medical center, hospital environment or academic setting required
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois required
- BLS – American Heart Association Basic Life Support required
- Neonatal Resuscitation - American Heart Association required
- Current nursing specialty certification; if no specialty nursing certification, certification required within one year of assuming role.
