Job Summary
RN Clinical Nurse Practice Specialist (CNPS) specializing in OB services (Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Antepartum) in Elmhurst, IL. This full-time role (0.9 FTE) supports clinical nursing expertise, education, and leadership across the system. Primary responsibilities include applying advanced nursing knowledge to patient care, assessing education needs, guiding staff in care plans, identifying practice improvements, implementing evidence-based practices, evaluating outcomes, leading technology and policy development, and collaborating with nursing leadership and other healthcare teams. The CNPS serves as a clinical expert, educator, mentor, and consultant, participating in shared decision-making councils and advancing nursing practice through education programs, just-in-time training, and professional development. Required: Master’s in Nursing, RN license in Illinois, BLS, Neonatal Resuscitation, and a current nursing specialty certification (or certification within one year). 5+ years of clinical experience in a hospital or academic setting, strong communication and teamwork skills, and flexibility in scheduling. Travel to other Endeavor Health hospitals for meetings is required.
Required Qualifications
- Masters Degree in Nursing
- RN license in Illinois
- BLS American Heart Association
- Neonatal Resuscitation - AHA
- Current nursing specialty certification (or within one year)
- 5+ years clinical experience
