Job Summary
RN Clinical Nurse Practice Specialist for OB Services (Labor & Delivery, Antepartum, Postpartum) provides expert nursing clinical guidance, education, and leadership. Responsible for applying advanced assessment and evidence-based practices to optimize patient outcomes, mentoring nursing staff, identifying education needs, developing and implementing programs, and participating in quality initiatives. Requires Masters-level nursing education, RN licensure in Illinois, BLS, neonatal resuscitation certification, 5+ years of clinical experience, and strong communication and leadership skills. Travel to other Endeavor Health hospitals for meetings is required; position is full-time, days, with 0.9 FTE.
Required Qualifications
- Masters Degree in Nursing required
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois required
- BLS American Heart Association Basic Life Support required
- Neonatal Resuscitation - American Heart Association required
- Current nursing specialty certification; if none, certification required within one year of assuming role
- 5+ years clinical experience in a medical center, hospital environment or academic setting required
- Ability to interact with diverse healthcare audiences and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Flexibility in work schedule
- Commitment to continued professional development including attendance at seminars/conferences, maintaining specialty certification, etc.
