Job Summary
Provides competent clinical nursing care in Labor and Delivery consistent with professional standards. Responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting, including education, evaluation of care, implementation of care, leadership, patient assessment, planning, and ongoing learning within an interdisciplinary team. Demonstrates communication to promote continuity of care, prioritizes tasks for patients with complex problems, participates in goals and performance improvement, and promotes a safe hospital environment. Applicable to Labor and Delivery units and requires licensure as an RN in North Carolina and BLS certification; one year of nursing experience is specified.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from a school of professional nursing
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification
- One year of nursing experience
