Job Summary
Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards; coordinates and delivers patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting, specifically in the Cardiovascular Surgery Stepdown Unit. Responsibilities include education and assessing patient readiness to learn, evaluating care outcomes, implementing care for patients with complex problems, leading and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, planning and prioritizing care, coordinating discharge planning, and engaging in ongoing professional development; requires RN licensure in North Carolina, BLS certification, and a BSN within seven years of employment if hired after Jan 6, 2014. Work is onsite in Raleigh, NC with a night schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from a school of professional nursing
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification
- One (1) year of nursing experience
