RN Clinical Nurse Coordinator Med Surg

Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality, patient-centered care. Participate in ongoing assessments of patient care services and collaborate with management to direct and evaluate nursing care. Support a patient-first philosophy by engaging in service recovery and operationalizing nursing strategies like employee and hourly rounding. Provide recommendations for interviewing, selecting, and training new staff, while managing personnel policies, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions. Assist with staff scheduling and manage practical labor aspects in accordance with productivity guidelines. Support proper inventory control and manage supplies and equipment. This role requires Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Basic Cardiac Life Support certification, an RN license, and two years of experience. Based at Research Medical Center, a 585+ bed HCA facility in Kansas City offering trauma and stroke centers.
