Job Summary
RN Clinical Educator – Heart & Vascular Care designs, implements, and evaluates clinical education programs for Heart & Vascular staff across Cardiology, Cath Lab, EP, CVICU, and Vascular Services; supports onboarding and transition-to-practice for new hires and transfers; provides ongoing education on disease processes, procedures, technologies, and evidence-based practice; serves as a clinical subject matter expert in cardiovascular and vascular nursing; coordinates competency validation and skills assessment; identifies learning needs and develops remediation plans; collaborates with leadership to support patient safety, quality improvement, and regulatory readiness (e.g., Joint Commission); mentors and promotes professional growth and lifelong learning; participates in governance councils and service line initiatives; maintains documentation of education and training compliance; leverages data to improve education outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted RN license (state or compact, as applicable)
- Associates Degree in Nursing required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or MSN preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of recent clinical experience in Heart & Vascular or Cardiovascular nursing preferred
- Demonstrated experience in staff education, precepting, or clinical mentoring
- Strong knowledge of cardiovascular and vascular disease processes, procedures, and nursing practice
- Specialty Certifications: Specialty certification in nursing, informatics, education or equivalent certification preferred
- BLS required
