Job Summary
RN Clinical Educator for the Family Birthing Center provides educational design and delivery to support clinical initiatives, employing learning assessments, instructional design, training delivery, and evaluation to create high-impact learning opportunities. Responsibilities include teaching and coaching on learning/performance needs assessments, leading system-wide projects to bridge performance gaps using evidence-based instructional design, analyzing national trends in education design, measurement, and reporting outcomes, and participating in local, state, and national speaking engagements. The role emphasizes interprofessional collaboration, curriculum development, and utilizingTeaching/learning technologies, with opportunities for tuition and certification reimbursement and growth through certifications. The position requires NM or Compact-state nursing licensure, an ADN (with preferred higher degrees), and current emergency response certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC). Required Qualifications
- Licensure: State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing required
- Academic Preparation: Associates Degree in Nursing required, Bachelors Degree in Nursing, Masters and Doctoral Degrees in Nursing, Nursing Education, Education, Instructional Design, informatics Business, Leadership, Informatics, or Administration preferred
- Specialty Certifications: Specialty certification in nursing, informatics, education or equivalent certification preferred
- Professional Requirements/Emergency Response: Maintains current training in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, and other emergency response certification may be required depending upon area of assignment
- Experience: Minimum At least 3 years of clinical care expertise required in clinical specialty; Family Birthing/OB experience preferred
- In lieu of the 3 years experience, completion of an accredited nurse residency program, 1 year of Clinical Practice Lead experience, or prior educator experience
