Job Summary
The RN Clinical Educator supports the educational components of the organization’s clinical initiatives and practices. Provides educational activities based on needs assessments, applying instructional design, training delivery, learning technology, and evaluation to deliver high-impact learning opportunities. Teaches and coaches learning/performance needs assessments; leads projects to bridge performance gaps system-wide using evidence-based, budget-conscious instructional design; identifies national trends in education design, measurement, and reporting outcomes; may participate in local, state, and national speaking engagements. Includes opportunities for tuition and certification reimbursement, leadership exposure, and involvement with EPIC electronic charting. This role is anchored in the Family Birthing unit and requires current NM state or compact nursing licensure and an Associate's degree in Nursing, with preference for higher degrees and related certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Licensure: State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing required.
- Associates Degree in Nursing required; Bachelors Degree in Nursing, Masters and Doctoral Degrees in Nursing, Nursing Education, Education, Instructional Design, informatics Business, Leadership, Informatics, or Administration preferred.
- Specialty Certifications: Specialty certification in nursing, informatics, education or equivalent certification preferred
- Professional Requirements/Emergency Response: Maintains current training in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC; other emergency response certifications may be required depending upon area of assignment
- Experience: Minimum at least 3 years of clinical care expertise; Family Birthing/OB experience preferred
- In lieu of 3 years experience, completion of an accredited nurse residency program, 1 year of Clinical Practice Lead experience, or prior educator experience.
