RN Clinical Educator - Ambulatory Care

Job Summary
Partner with the Clinical Practice and Professional Development team to maintain evidence-based education for clinical practice, covering quality initiatives, strategic goals, and compliance needs. Conduct systematic learning needs assessments for individuals and groups, then develop culturally sensitive educational programs for nurses and allied health caregivers across all career stages. Teach content in informal settings using adult learning principles, monitor and mentor campus nurse leaders, and evaluate program outcomes to ensure objectives are met. Act as a change agent championing Daily Management Systems and lead leadership on visual management and countermeasures. Work Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm with a 40-hour weekly schedule, rotating travel to multiple locations within Central Oregon.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Current Oregon RN license
- AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider certification
- Valid Oregon driver's license and ability to meet SCHS driving requirements
- Minimum three to five (3-5) years clinic nursing experience
- Experience with various teaching methodologies
- Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required to perform the job safely
- Continually (75% or more): Use of clear and audible speaking voice and the ability to hear normal speech level
- Frequently (50%): Sitting, standing, walking, lifting 1-10 pounds, keyboard operation
- Occasionally (25%): Bending, climbing stairs, reaching overhead, carrying/pushing or pulling 1-10 pounds, grasping/squeezing
- Rarely (10%): Stooping/kneeling/crouching, lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling 11-25 pounds, operation of a motor vehicle

Desired Qualifications

- Three (3) years as a clinical educator
- Three (3) years of ambulatory nursing experience
