Job Summary
Conduct needs assessments, employ evidence-based educational methodologies, and act as a change agent to promote evidence-based practice. Provide expert consultation to direct care staff, conduct orientation programs for new staff, and evaluate initial and ongoing competency validation processes. Actively participate in quality improvement activities and conduct multidisciplinary rounds on assigned units. Ensure patient-centered care and optimal patient outcomes through direct practice, clinical and professional leadership, expert coaching, guidance, consultation, collaboration, education, and ethical decision-making. Requires a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Nursing with five or three years of clinical educator experience, respectively, plus a Florida RN license.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- BSN and five (5) years job related experience as a clinical educator
- License to practice as an RN in the State of Florida
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Nursing
- MSN and three (3) years experience as a clinical educator
- Demonstrated educational and leadership experience with progressive increase in responsibility
- Excellent computer, clinical, and communication skills as well as significant experience developing, teaching and coordinating educational programs for adult learners
