Job Summary
Conduct nursing care for patients in all settings using the nursing process while collaborating with healthcare providers. Serve as a patient advocate by delegating care and participating in performance and practice improvement activities. Maintain accountability for professional development within the legal scope of care while aligning delivery with organizational missions and values. Maintain Ohio RN licensure, BLS certification, and ACLS/NRP/PALS credentials as determined by unit scope of practice. Work full-time 12-hour night shifts at Kettering Health Main Campus in Kettering.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed in the state of Ohio as a Registered Nurse
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (NLN, ACEN, or CCNE) if they are a new graduate nurse
- Bachelor of Science in nursing preferred (must be completed within 5 years of hire)
- BLS certification
- ACLS, NRP, PALS as determined by unit scope of practice
Desired Qualifications
- A nurse who is returning to the acute care setting after five or more years may be required to provide evidence of successful completion of a refresher course
