Job Summary
Coordinate total nursing care for patients in the Clinical Decision Unit, providing patient and family teaching while working cooperatively with ancillary staff to maintain professional standards. Manage high-volume admission, transfer, and discharge activity for short-term stays ranging from 8 to 48 hours, utilizing telemetry monitoring and timely diagnostic workups in a fast-paced environment similar to an Emergency Department. Perform duties under the direction of the Manager, Patient Services or designee, ensuring care is appropriate for the age groups regularly served.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or equivalent
- Current RN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired
- Every Other Weekend and Holiday Rotation
Desired Qualifications
- Three (3) months experience
- Telemetry experience
