Job Summary
Clinical Coordinator for Med Surg (4 West) at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, VA. Responsible for integration of the nursing process, coordination/management of patient care, and the organizing, planning, directing and evaluating of services. Provides leadership and staff development to meet unit needs, orients Nursing Supervisor, ensures clinically competent services per Riverside standards, and supports strategic goals. May perform full patient care to support the unit. Schedule includes nights and weekends as needed, with duties focused on evaluating clinical performance, improving patient experience, coordinating staffing, onboarding, and driving continuous quality and collaboration with the health system, EMS, and community.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelors Degree in Nursing (Preferred)
- Experience: 2 years Staff Nurse experience (Required)
- Licenses and Certifications: Registered Nurse (RN) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) (Required)
- Certifications: CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC/A.S.H.I) (Required)
- Other: Nursing leadership/coordination responsibilities as described in job duties
