RN Clinical Coordinator Labor and Delivery

Job Summary

Coordinate clinical and department activities for the Labor and Delivery unit while serving as a clinical nurse, resource to staff, and shift charge. Demonstrate strong clinical judgment to ensure high-quality patient care, acting as a vital link between physicians and the care team. Maintain communication with unit staff and other departments, providing input on coaching, mentoring, and performance management. Assume accountability for facilitating collaboration with the healthcare team and patient families to meet physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. Act as a professional role model demonstrating ethical nursing standards and promote optimal health through the nursing process in accordance with state guidelines. Actively serve on the unit as a registered nurse, taking patient assignments based on unit needs and acuity.

Required Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in Nursing (Nursing Diploma or by endorsement)
  • RN License to practice in state of employment
  • Minimum of 1 year of direct clinical experience as a Registered Nurse

Desired Qualifications

  • BSN
  • Nursing Specialty Certification
