Job Summary
Coordinate clinical and department activities for the ICU unit by assessing patient physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interviews, and medical record reviews. Evaluate patient responses, develop care plans, and authorize procedures while acting as the primary link between physicians and the patient care team. Manage shift operations as charge nurse, assign duties based on acuity, and ensure appropriate admissions and staff skill mix for safe care. Liaise with the multidisciplinary team to prioritize activities and promote patient well-being. This role supports the department director/manager within the 16-bed Medical/Surgical ICU at Longmont United Hospital, which treats trauma patients and provides telemetry overflow.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Nursing or by endorsement
- One (1) year of clinical RN experience
- RN license to practice in state of employment as applicable

- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Nursing Specialty Certification
